Cat stuck in an engine in Secuals and rescued by firemen: A cat was saved by a whisker, it must be said, in Secuals. This morning, the driver of a car in Secuals noticed that something was wrong under the engine bonnet. Inside, a cat was trapped, heard even though the engine was running. Firemen from Spilimberc arrived at the scene, who managed to save the little animal after lifting the vehicle and removing some plastic parts. Friulian pronunciation
Tonic stress falls on the syllable marked by an accent in the following words: gjatùt, cjanùt, màchine, tapòn, besteùte, plàstiche, emergjènce, veterinàri.
In certain variants of Friulian, such as the variant spoken at Dograva, to name but one, gjat and cjan are pronounced giat and çan. In these same variants, the diminutives gjatut and cjanut will be said giatut and çanut.
