Fight between unaccompanied boys in Çarvignan, seventeen-year-old slashed: A fight between unaccompanied minors ended with a knife attack on an Iranian youth of seventeen years of age. The incident occurred yesterday evening in Çarvignan. For reasons still unclear, an argument broke out between the victim and a fifteen-year-old Egyptian who, at some point, pulled out a knife and attacked the Iranian in the arm. Fortunately, the wound was not severe, but the youth was taken to hospital in Udin for treatment. The carabinîrs of Çarvignan are investigating the incident.

Un scurtissament: a knife attack {a stabbing, a slashing}. Also: une scurtissade, a knife wound. The root of scurtissament and scurtissade is, of course, curtìs (knife). Some examples: un scurtissament cuntun curtìs di cusine (a knife attack with a kitchen knife); un scurtissament in plen centri (a knife attack right in city centre); al è muart cun cinc scurtissadis (he died by five knife wounds {stab wounds}).
